Kindergarten Party

Chris and Amy Scarborough hosted a Kindergarten Party at their house on Friday night. I can not tell you how much fun it was, and how many thoughtful things were done that the kids will always remember.

The 3 Kindergarten Bound Amigos
When we got to the house Amy had it decorated with balloons including a school bus and pictures all along her bar of Parker, McKenna and Grace from babies to present!!! So special! Chris and Craig made hamburgers and hot dogs. We ate and then the kiddos dug in to the trough dessert. I saw this on the internet and thought it would be fun for them to do on this special night. You get a big "trough" like bowl, fill it with cake on the bottom, then ice cream, bananas, nuts, strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup, carmel syrup, whip cream, and cherries. Give them spoons and let them dig in. Before we let them dig in though we sang "Happy Kindergarten to you Three", and then they blew out the candle and made a wish for kindergarten.

Amy made a time capsule...see below...for the kids to put a picture of themselve and some other items that they would like to include that represent them at this time in their life. We also put in their handprints that Amy painted when they arrived. We sealed it up and then Chris buried it in their backyard to be unearthed when Grace, Parker and McKenna graduate from Highschool.

They all look on while he buries it.
Then it was time for the pinata that Grace had so beautifully decorated.
Here's Christopher giving them a hand on trying to get the candy out.
Then they moved onto the water balloons that Julie and McKenna so graciously filled. Needless to say they had a blast!!!!
BEST BUDS!!!!
To end the night they each got a pencil bag and pencils personalized with their names.
The same pose, same place, just several years later.

We are so very proud of you Grace, Parker, and McKenna!
We love you bunches!
Good luck in Kindergarten!!!!!
