What a fun time we had in Port Aransas from hanging at the beach to swimming at the pool. Speaking of pool...we have some exciting news to share about Parker!!!! He went totally under the water SEVERAL times, swam on his own, and even did cannon balls from my knees into the pool. He is so proud of himself as are we. What a different child when it comes to the water!!!! Another first for Parker was he caught his first fish. We went pier fishing on Friday and he reeled in a HUGE fish. :>) He and all 3 cousins caught fish. They were thrilled!!! I'll post a picture of Parker and his HUGE fish. Presley wanted us to let go of her so she could swim by herself...it's so funny how 2 kids can be so different. They both LOVED the beach. They played in the sand, ran around, built sand castles, and jumped in the ocean. Presley was in hog heaven...running around in her bathing suit with no one stopping her. She wouldn't let us take off her sunglasses...she's a true diva. When we would leave the beach Presley would say, "bye bye ocean." Parker had tons of fun playing with his cousins...especially Matthew. They made up games at the beach and in the pool. They played motor boats with their kickboards that Gram and Papa bought them, baby octupuses with me, shark is going to get you, and getting water in the buckets and throwing them on the beach. It was so amazing to watch the two interact. The last night we were there we took all the boys out to the beach at night with flashlights that Uncle Ron and Aunt Jenny bought them to go creature and shell hunting. They all thought it was so neat. We found crabs, sand dollars, shells, and hermit crabs. One of the funny moments of our trip was our first night there. We ordered pizza and were eating it down by the pool when a swarm of seagulls flew in and grabbed Matthew and Parker's pizza and had a little pizza rugby over us. It was hilarious even though Parker was crying because they took his pizza. We are still talking about the aggressiveness of the seagulls. The only downside to our trip was that 6 out of 11 of us got sick with a 24 hour stomach bug. Thankfully, however, most of us got it Saturday night. Other than that, I must say that our trip to Port Royal in Port Aransas was another success. Thank you Gram and Papa!!!
